Ozark Memories Day is an annual cultural event held in Dover on the last weekend of September. OMD, as we like to call it, is both an expression of the past and of very modern future. At OMD you can find modern foods but historic recipes, contemporary friendliness and 1800s hobbies, modern bands and choirs, plus songs and dances of yesteryear.
The Dover Area Chamber of Commerce is involved in the community in many ways. Bi-annually they keep roadsides clean while working with the Highway Department by picking up garbage. Annually they team up with the City of Dover for the City's Spring Clean-Up. At the City Square the flower garden is maintained by the chamber.
We love to invite new small town businesses into our home. In fact, that is a part of what makes Dover so special. The warm feeling of a family owned shop that loves to meet our towns needs is what sets us a part of others. We encourage our new businesses by having Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies and helping when needed.
